    The project’s balance in brief:

    1. Despite of some shortcomings and the non-existence of a project planning at the end of April, the project could have started immediately mid of October 2015 - if it would be only due to scientific and technical aspects. One important basis of the field work was the "Shoreline Clean-Up Assessment Technique" (SCAT), a methodology based on visual inspection of the environment.
    2. Transparency in the project is ensured by the BMI directorate.
    3. Pre-SCAT has been successfully conducted. SCAT participants have been trained to carry out the field work and the related documentation. Main SCAT done in August.
    4. The project area has been defined.
    5. A matrix for the prioritization of more SCAT sites has been finished/concluded.
    6. An international lab has been identified successfully. Other labs have been excluded.
    7. The Technical Assistant has been selected in a transparent way.
    8. Four hundred (400) youths have been selected in Bodo in a transparent way.
    9. SCAT-teams would be ready for field operations in order to prepare the clean-up.
    10. Geomatics/Geoterrain are ready, the sampling protocol is in place, the analytical scope has been cleared with minor uncertainties.
    11. The algorithm for the documentation has been established.
    12. Camp of Lamor/Giolee was ready and operating.
    13. Medical survey and training up to IMO Level 1 for 400 persons has been accomplished by Lamor/Giolee.
    14. The contractors were ready to kick off remediation works around mid October 2015.
